Fragment of a guide to the University of Virginia [or Charlottesville] giving brief descriptions of buildings and other features including statues, university buildings and the airport, with an emphasis on days and hours various buildings and libraries are open for use. Of interest is a description of the local airport as "commercial ... unlicensed and not ... in service ... Caution is advised because of use of field by riding academy." Also of interest is a description of Washington Hall and its uses over time as dining hall, salle d'armes for fencing and boxing, proctor's office, post office, literary society home, music hall [for the Observatory Mountain Orchestra] and class room.
